PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kimdaejung Convention Center has become one of the most famous convention centers in South Korea by attaining 70 percent of operation rate and hosting over 800 conventions and meetings per year. This second convention center provides 19 small and medium sized meeting rooms, which can accommodate 3,000 people, multi-purpose halls, and other related facilities in the 4-story building.

This project promotes the Southwestern region of Korea as a meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions (MICE) hub by implementing infrastructure to meet the needs of large sized international meetings, conventions, and exhibitions in the coming years, preparing Gwangju to build more competency when competing to host large-scale international events; as well as to increase economic effect and enhance the branding of the city.
