Model ELWC Therma-Fuser™ diffusers are sidewall linear slot VAV diffusers with streamlined aluminum extrusions that can be connected end-to-end to create long continuous runs. The ELWC has a built-in DDC controller, temperature sensors, and flow sensors providing VAV cooling and VAV heating. The blade damper(s) moves open and close to meter air flow (warm or cool) into the room in response to room temperature. The damper(s) is modulated by a brushless DC stepper motor. Room air is positively induced over the built in temperature sensor or optionally sensed at the wall mounted Adjuster for an accurate measurement of room temperature in both cooling and heating.

The controller uses an ‘expert system’ control and over the BACnet™ network provides extensive data from each diffuser including: room temperature, duct temperature, air flow rate, multiple set point options, multiple override options, and specialty features that can be used with other devices on the network such as CO2 sensors and occupancy sensors.
